Countries

Whilst on a 24 hr coach journey in Argentina with my fellow travel buddy Al, we decided to make a list of every country we’d been together, it was sizeable. As with everything in my life, I made it competitive; “Right, who’s been to the most countries? Loser buys the first round…. Go!”. A brief discussion was held over whether we could count the various countries of the UK and as part of that England itself, “It’s a country isn’t it? Course you can count it”. Frantically scribbling down everywhere I’d been, I was thinking, my body has been used as a pin cushion by the travel nurse for the last few years, I’m immune to all diseases known to man pretty much therefore I must have a decent chance at winning this, “39” I professed, Al cursed me, “38, you b@$tard!”. That was 2 years ago and I can now lay claim to another 12 with my current total at 50.

There are 196 countries in the world, I’m aiming to have hit 100 by the time I’m 50.

Here is a list of where I’ve blogged…
